Parsons Parsons

Advanced Manufacturing
Overview

For more than 40 years, Parsons has aided clients in modernizing aging factory floors and production facilities to cost-effectively increase production throughput and improve process and product quality. Our clients also rely on us to design and construct new plants that use state-of-the-art production tools and technologies, from robotic assembly of piece parts in Class 100 clean rooms through final assembly and computerized inspection to automated packaging and distribution.

Projects run the gamut-a winery in California's fertile Napa Valley, a steel mill all but leveled by fire, a computer mainframe facility that began life as a World War II munitions factory, a paper products factory, the food and beverage industry, a maker of photographic equipment and supplies-every kind of plant conceivable.

And when e-commerce established its business paradigms in the marketplace, Parsons allied with IBM, among other clients, to create data centers that can reliably process, transmit, archive, retrieve, and communicate huge volumes of e-business data day in and day out. The specialized requirements of these designs range from human factors to redundant networks and power systems, stringent heating and cooling systems, and high-speed, worldwide data transmission and telecommunications.

Parsons long track record on programs demanding the range of expertise and experience to successfully design and deliver all these advanced manufacturing facilities justifies its place among Engineering News-Record's top-ranked design, engineering, and construction firms.
