Project Description
Apple Computer hired Parsons as project manager for its Nexus rollout program. The fast-track program opened 50 Apple stores throughout the western U.S. over an 18-month period. Tenant improvements were made to stores in existing buildings and malls, as well as to larger showcase retail stores. While managing the Western Region rollout program, our project managers augmenting Apple's staff in other regions. Parsons scope includes:
- Managing multiple design firms
- Procuring furniture and custom fixtures
- Construction management of individual stores
- Building and environmental permitting
- Working with local permitting authorities
- Program estimating and scheduling
- Architecture and electrical engineering for the more difficult technical problems
- Augmenting technical staff
