CONSTRUCTIBILITY REVIEWS
Constructibility reviews determine and improve the practicality of the construction plans in order to avoid on-site construction problems, delays, and change orders. Cost-benefit analysis significantly enhances the achievement of program objectives of safety, quality, productivity, schedule, and cost.
Parsons personnel have extensive construction experience in engineering inspection, construction techniques, logistics, tolerances, and sequences of assembly.
To conduct the review, Parsons uses a team composed of the program management and technical staff who are familiar with the type of facility reviewed. Client staff members provide input but are not actually part of the review process. The team looks for the following:
- Intradiscipline coordination
- Interdiscipline coordination
- Unobvious conditions
- Unbuildable design
- Cost schedule or constructibility enhancements
Each reviewer prepares comments on the specifications and drawings. Program management distributes the final package and reviews comments for our final coordination check. A report is then prepared and issued to the client.
