PASADENA, CA (November 16, 2017) – Parsons—in a design-build joint venture—will design and construct the Silicon Valley Clean Water’s (SVCW’s) Front of Plant project in Redwood City, CA. This project is part of SVCW’s Regional Environmental Sewer Conveyance Upgrade Program, which incorporates conveyance system improvements to transport wastewater from member agencies to the SVCW wastewater treatment plant.
The Front of Plant project is a major component of the SVCW conveyance system and includes the receiving lift station, which lifts the wastewater from the gravity pipeline to the surface to be screened and de-gritted before flowing to the treatment plant in the new influent connector pipe. Parsons’ work will also include electrical, civil, and odor-control facilities.
“We’re honored to bring our extensive experience in water and wastewater systems to this important project in the Silicon Valley,” said Donald Graul, President of Parsons Construction Group. “Using SVCW’s state-of-the-art biological treatment technology to recycle wastewater makes clean water available for reuse and protects the San Francisco Bay ecosystem.”
