Executive Leadership
Carey is Chair, President, and Chief Executive Officer, responsible for the company’s strategy, growth, business execution, and global operations. Before joining Parsons, she served in progressive leadership roles at Honeywell, including as President of its defense and space division, Vice President of Honeywell Aerospace Customer and Product Support, and President of Honeywell Technology Solutions, Inc. Prior to joining Honeywell, Carey held various executive positions at Lockheed Martin. She is on the Parsons and Edison International Board of Directors, chairs the Professional Services Council’s Board of Directors, and is also a member of the board of directors for the Intelligence and National Security Alliance and the United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation.

Susan is the Chief Human Resources Officer, responsible for all aspects of human resources to include the employee lifecycle and employee experience for the organization. Before joining Parsons, she held top level human resources positions at Serco North America and Engility. She was also a senior leader at CACI and held progressive leadership positions at Raytheon. Susan is a member of the executive leadership team and is an executive sponsor of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Counsel. She also sits on the Mid Atlantic Organizational Development Executive Roundtable.

As Chief Growth Officer, Paul helps drive the company’s top-line growth by collaborating on, measuring, and providing support for Parsons’ growth initiatives for both our Critical Infrastructure and Federal Solutions business units. Prior to this role, Paul was President of the Defense and Intelligence business unit within Parsons Federal Solutions where he was responsible for developing and delivering the company’s overall corporate technical and growth strategy for the market. He has extensive experience in the arena of Cyber Space Operations including operational and leadership support to Defensive Cyber Operations, Offensive Cyber Operations to include mission execution, strategic policy, and security strategy and planning. His operational leadership and technical experiences include support to the United States Strategic Commands Computer Network Defense and Computer Network Warfare mission sets. Paul proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Mark is President of Infrastructure, North America, and leads our infrastructure programs and is responsible for the leadership, strategy, growth, business execution, and operations across the United States and Canada. Mark joined Parsons in 1989 as a Transportation Engineer, and has held a series of progressively more responsible leadership roles within the critical infrastructure industry, including Executive Vice President of Parsons’ Mobility Solutions Business Unit responsible for profit & loss, strategy, growth, project delivery, talent management and operations for the North American and Middle East Bridge, Road & Highway, Tunnel, Water/Wastewater, and Industrial markets.

Mike serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer. He joined Parsons in 2016 as vice president and deputy general counsel – Americas. Before that, he served as senior corporate vice president/assistant general counsel for operations and risk management at AECOM. He began his career as a partner in the Chicago law firm of Rock, Fusco and Garvey where he was a member of the Federal Trial Bar for the Northern District of Illinois, focusing his practice on civil litigation.

Mike is President of Parsons Defense and Intelligence (D&I) business unit and is responsible for driving growth, execution, and technology integration in support of our customer’s most pressing national security challenges. He has more than 30 years of highly specialized experience delivering capabilities to the Defense Department and Intelligence Community in the core areas of cybersecurity, electronic warfare, information operations, and space development. Prior to his current role, Mike led the company’s High Consequence Missions (HCM) sector, accelerating Parsons’ business into a high growth center of excellence focused on next generation technology solutions for our customers. He joined Parsons through the acquisition of BlackHorse Solutions, where he was President and CEO.

Rico is Chief Technology Officer at Parsons and responsible for the development and implementation of the innovation and technology strategy across the enterprise. He accomplishes this through internal Research & Development (R&D) to all forms of external technology leveraging including commercial technology partnerships, contract R&D, and university partnerships. The portfolio includes technologies ranging from digital modernization to integrated systems, and from cyber to artificial intelligence/machine learning, data analytics, advanced sensors, electronic warfare, smart mobility, environment remediation, and space technologies. He is also responsible for the offices of the Chief Information Officer, Chief Security Information Office, S-WORX, and the Parsons Fellows.

Jon is President of Engineered Systems, a Parsons federal business unit that delivers, protects, and sustains critical assets across the Defense, Intelligence, and Critical Infrastructure markets. Jon has over 35 years of experience, spanning operations, engineering, procurement, and construction, as well as technology development and commercialization. In his current role, Jon is responsible for leading advanced engineering, planning, design, and delivery of complex infrastructure, environmental, energy, and life sciences products and services to U.S. government customers across five continents that include the U.S. Department of Energy, National Science Foundation, Program Executive Office Assembled Chemical Weapons Alternatives, Defense Threat Reduction Agency, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Department of Labor, Federal Aviation Administration, U.S. Navy and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Matt is the Chief Financial Officer at Parsons and brings more than 20 years of finance experience and a proven track record of delivering profitable growth and building high-performance finance teams to the role. Before being appointed CFO, Matt served as Parsons’ Executive Vice President of Finance, where he led the company’s financial operations, including project controls, financial planning, accounting, treasury, and financial systems. Prior to joining Parsons in 2021, he led multi-billion-dollar finance organizations, including those for Amazon Web Services (AWS) Worldwide Public Sector and Strategic Industries businesses. Before AWS, he held roles of increasing responsibility at Raytheon, concluding his tenure as CFO for the Space and Command & Control businesses unit. Ofilos holds a Master of Business Administration from Boston University and a Bachelor of Science from Babson College.

Pierre is the President of Parsons Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), which operates as a business unit of the US-based Parsons Corporation. Prior to his current role, Pierre was President of Parsons’ MEA market, responsible for the corporation’s operations and growth in the MEA region. Pierre has been managing the portfolios of major multi-disciplinary projects around the world for 30 years, with a primary focus on Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. Based in Dubai since early 2005, he has developed trusted relationships with key decision makers in regional government bodies and private sector entities alike.

Tim is Chief Development Officer at Parsons and joined the company in 2018 through the acquisition of Polaris Alpha®. He is responsible for leading Parsons’ robust merger and acquisition (M&A) program and overseeing the corporation’s strategy and market research efforts. Schmitt previously served as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development and Finance for Polaris Alpha®, after spending nearly a decade in investment banking, focused on M&A advisory services for companies in the national security sector.

Wendy is the Chief Business Operations Officer at Parsons leads enterprise business operations functions, including procurement, government security, program excellence, program risk and controls, acquisition integration, safety, and facilities. In addition, Wendy is responsible for environmental, social, and governance (ESG). Wendy is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational functions of the business, designing and implementing business strategies, plans, and procedures that optimize the use of resources, people, processes, and technology.

Jason is Parsons’ Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, responsible for leading the corporation’s engagement with global stakeholders to advance Parsons’ growth and reputation as a leader in national security and critical infrastructure. As head of corporate affairs, he oversees the global communications and government relations portfolios, including corporate communications, marketing, workforce communications, creative services, philanthropy, and corporate events. He also manages Parsons’ global government relations organization, responsible for policy development, engagement with customers, lawmakers, and embassies at the international, federal, state and local levels, and the Parsons Political Action Committee. He serves as Executive Sponsor of Parsons’ DEI Council. Before coming to Parsons, he led communications programming inside the U.S. Department of Defense and in organizations across the aerospace and defense sector.

George Ball joined Parsons in 1995 and served in multiple roles before being appointed CFO in 2008. He was integral in the company going public in May 2019 and the organization’s transformation into a technology-driven solutions company. He has also served on the boards of directors of multiple public and non-profit organizations. George has served in a variety of financial and operational positions and his strategic counsel enabled Parsons to become an industry leader in the national security and critical infrastructure markets.

Mark Holdsworth is a Founder and Managing Partner of The Holdsworth Group. Before that, he was Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Tennenbaum Capital Partners, LLC, and a Vice President of Corporate Finance at U.S. Bancorp Libra, Inc. He serves as Vice Chairman of EP Management Corporation and served as Chairman of International Wire Group. Mark currently serves as Chairman of WinCup, Inc., and Chairman of Real Mex Restaurants, Inc. He is a National Trustee of Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

Steve Leer is former Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of Arch Coal, Inc. He previously served as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board, and before that he was President as well as Chief Executive Officer from the time the company was formed. Prior to Arch Coal’s formation, Steve served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Arch Mineral Corporation, one of Arch Coal’s predecessor companies. In addition, he serves on the boards of Norfolk Southern Corporation, USG Corporation, and Washington University in St. Louis, and is a former regent of the University of the Pacific.

Ellen Lord previously served in the U.S. Department of Defense as Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment from 2017-2021, where she was responsible for all matters pertaining to acquisition; developmental testing; contract administration; logistics and materiel readiness; installations, and environment; operational energy; chemical, biological, and nuclear weapons; the acquisition workforce; and the defense industrial base. She brings more than 30 years of experience in the defense industry, including having served as president and chief executive officer of Textron Systems Corporation, a subsidiary of Textron Inc.

Letitia Long served in senior leadership positions across NGA, the Defense Intelligence Agency, and the DoD for nearly 40 years. She led NGA, reporting to the Secretary of the Defense, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, and the Director of National Intelligence. Under her leadership, NGA became the first U.S. agency to adopt open-source software development and collaboration that delivered critical information to first responders during and after natural disasters. She has been awarded the DoD Medal for Distinguished Civilian Service, the Presidential Rank Award of Distinguished Executive, the Navy Distinguished Civilian Service Award, the Presidential Rank Award of Meritorious Executive and the National Intelligence Distinguished Service Medal. She received the Charlie Allen Award for Distinguished Intelligence Service from the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association, was decorated with the Medal of Merit by the King of Norway, was appointed to the rank of Chevalier in the National Order of the Legion of Honor of France and awarded the Commander’s Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland.

Gen. Darren McDew served with distinction in the United States military for 36 years. Throughout his career, he had the opportunity to lead at all echelons; culminating as the Commander, United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM). As a unified combatant command comprised of all the armed services, he served as the senior uniformed officer responsible for global air, land, and sea transportation, and patient movement for the Department of Defense. Gen McDew was commissioned as an Air Force officer in 1982. His journey began as a pilot and continued through multiple operational leadership roles and unique assignments at the White House (Military Aide to the President), the Pentagon (Strategic Plans and Policy for the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs), and on Capitol Hill (Chief, Air Force Senate Liaison).

Harry McMahon has provided financial advice, strategic solutions, and transaction execution for corporations and institutions worldwide. He has served in many leadership roles, including: Executive Vice Chairman of Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Vice Chairman and Co-Head of Global Corporate Finance of Merrill Lynch, and ran Investment Banking for the firm’s Western Region for 25 years. His broad base of experience has included leading deal teams on more than 400 projects involving Mergers and Acquisitions or Corporate Finance advisory work. Harry began his career at the Northern Trust Bank and moved to Merrill Lynch in 1983 where he remained until 2015. He has since been an Executive Advisor to the G100 Network and serves on the Boards of Parsons Corporation, Claremont McKenna College (where he served as Chair for eight years), and Direct Relief, a leading humanitarian aid organization. He holds a BA and an Honorary Doctorate from Claremont McKenna College and an MBA from University of Chicago Booth School.

Chris Mitchell is a retired Deloitte senior partner and served as the National or Regional Managing Partner for various practices including audit, enterprise risk services, and financial services during his 26-year career. He was a founding member of the board of directors of Deloitte Consulting USA. Chris is a director of Pacific Premier Bancorp, Inc., Western Asset Mortgage Capital Corporation, and Marshall & Stevens. Chris is a former member of the board of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), Chairman Emeritus of the NACD Pacific Southwest chapter, and a NACD Board Leadership Fellow. In 2011 and 2012 Chris was named “one of the 100 most influential people in corporate governance” by Directorship magazine. In addition, he served a 2-year term as an Accounting Fellow for a federal agency.

Before retiring, she was a Major General in the United States Air Force and served as Commander, 24th Air Force and Air Forces Cyber.

Dave Wajsgras is the CEO of Intelsat, operator of the world’s first global satellite network and leader in integrated satellite communications. Intelsat delivers critical broadband connectivity and content distribution that transforms businesses and communities in more than 200 countries. He became CEO of Intelsat in April 2022 and focuses on driving innovation and generating long-term value for the company’s stakeholders across the government, media, mobile network operators, commercial aviation, and other mobility sectors. He joined the company after two decades of providing operational, strategic, and financial leadership in both the commercial and defense industries. Previously, Dave served as president of the global, $7.5-billion, advanced-technology Intelligence, Information, and Services business at the former Raytheon Company, now part of Raytheon Technologies. Dave was named to Executive Mosaic’s Wash100 list of top government contracting leaders for seven years. He was also selected as WashExec’s CEO of the Year in 2023, Intel Industry Executive of the Year in 2019, and Federal Computer Week’s Industry Eagle award winner in 2018.
