Parsons recently won the International Partnering Institute’s (IPI) 2018 John L. Martin Partnered Project of the Year Award for our work on the Rouchleau Mine Bridge project. The project won the Diamond Award in the civil construction category for projects valued between $25 million and $250 million.
We designed the new 1,100-ft weathering steel plate girder bridge for the Minnesota Department of Transportation to connect the mining towns of Virginia and Eveleth. Working with the contactor and a partnering facilitator, our team demonstrated successful partnering by resolving project challenges which saved $8 million to $10 million in project costs and five weeks on the schedule.
IPI’s Partnered Project of the Year Award is given to projects that best exemplify the principles of partnering to transform the construction industry and achieve exceptional results through a culture of collaboration.
