For the fourth year in a row, we teamed up with the 24 Foundation to raise money and positively impact the lives of those affected by cancer by participating in the organization’s 24 Hours of Booty event in Charlotte, NC. On July 30th and 31st, hundreds of cyclists and walkers completed laps over a 24-hour period, clocking thousands of miles around the Booty Loop, while providing hope, healing, and survivorship for cancer patients and their families.
Under the leadership of our Team Captain, Chuck McGregor, Parsons employees donated, walked, cycled, and cheered our way through the event, and raised $44,428. Since 2018, we’ve raised approximately $135,000 for the organization.
We’re proud to announce that Parsons employee Bernadette Kiser won the event’s Spirit of Booty Award in recognition of her tireless cheering from the sidelines late into the night. One rider posted this on her social media page:
To the lady that stood out all night and all morning and all day, thank you, thank you, thank you. She stood there and made a connection with all these riders that she didn’t know, and she was my first hug when I crossed the finish line. This woman is an angel!”
Watch our video below, which takes a closer look at the event and how we’re making lives better for those affected by cancer.
